Lord help me. I need to hang onto my wallet. Christmas came early.
Okay so who isn't drooling over this? I wonder if I'll be able to afford this. Gaah!! Steve Jobs you did it again. You're the man.
I'm not saying that my faith in Apple is wavering but last night when we were working on our itinerary, I mentioned to the hubby that my iBook was feeling hot. I've always noticed this but I guess this time I just paid more attention. I've already done the battery exchange thing with this one a few months ago but he said maybe we should check again because the unit isn't supposed to get THAT hot. So we did and well, we found out that we have to (yet again) turn it in. Oh well, I'm not mad or anything because it's not Apple's fault but the battery maker's fault. Also, the battery exchange program is free (like last time) so it's really no biggie. Their service was pretty fast too. I'm glad that they have a service center pretty close to us so it shouldn't take long.
We went to the Apple Store today after going grocery because the hubby is having some major problems with his ipod. He actually contacted Apple and they were gonna do the whole shipment thing so they can examine it. What was weird was that when he checked his tracking number, some other person signed for it! We even asked the condo office to see if anybody with that name lived in our community but they didn't find it. Anyway, we just went to the Apple store to see if someone in the genius bar can help out. Well, what do you know? He ended up getting a brand new one! He bought his iPod refurbished so maybe that's why it was giving him problems. So now everything's solved!
While he was waiting I wanted to check out The Body Shop. I think I've only been once or twice to this store. I don't know why I never went in there. I assumed that they were expensive but actually they're not. I didn't know that their flagship store was in London either. I went in and got me two of these in Starry Silver and Mink. I also got me a blemish stick. For some reason, I've been breaking out. I only get one or two at the most but still, I haven't broken out this often for awhile. I was thinking of originally going to L'Occitane to get their lavender vinegar but I decided to try out the Body Shop and I'm glad I did. Hopefully it'll do the trick.
On our way back we were planning to stop by Costco but they were already closing. I thought they closed later than 6 pm on Saturday? Oh well...Tomorrow we get free food!! Yipppee!!! I swear we're such pigs. We bought so much baked goods at the Filipino bakery in South Sac. You'd think we're feeding 5 people. hahaha...
I still have my 3G ipod but despite the 'new battery' replacement, it doesn't last for more than 4 hours. With a new battery it should last up to 8 hours. *sigh* Also, the aftermarket car and wall charger I got works really weird. I can't play my ipod while I'm charging them. So with the new apple ipods coming out, I'm contemplating whether or not I should get a new one. It just sounds so frivolous since my ipod still works, it's just the battery life that's the problem. I also wouldn't mind getting more space. My current one has 15GB but I want the 30GB one. Can you believe that the 30GB costs the same as the 8GB nano? Geez Louise..I know that the nano looks snazzier but c'mon people, go for more bang for the buck! Another thing that makes me hesitate is we have an ipod mini that we don't really need anymore so I'm thinking of selling it for $100. It's a 4GB one and it still works pretty well. Heck the battery in that one lasts longer than my current ipod. I'd sell my iPod too but the battery piece might be a deterrent. Oh and Apple did away with the educational discounts for the iPod so I can't use my 10% off anymore.
Hmm.. wouldn't this look cool with my [maybe future] ipod?
