Anyway, do you have suggestions for restaurants (kid-friendly please) in the Carmel/Monterey/Pacific Grove area? I've found a couple from one of the AAA mags we got but I'd like to get more feedback. Thanks! I can't believe it's next week. We're pretty excited.

What's been your worst experience at a restaurant?
I was still a student at UCI when it happened. My husband (bf at the time), my best friend and I ate at Hard Rock Cafe in Newport Beach during super bowl I think. We only wanted to order appetizers when we were there but for some reason, the server we had was a total bitch. She was giving us attitude and I remember her saying: "Are you gonna order something?" But the way she said it was totally condescending like we were just there to watch TV. First of all, we don't even like football, and second, so what if we're only ordering appetizers? Anyway, we got pissed so we left her a quarter tip. She ran after us outside and actually gave us that tip back. She said: "Oh yeah, here's your tip back." What a total biatch!!! We never went back to that particular Hard Rock Cafe. I hope she got fired.
I just bought some Alaskan king crab legs at Nugget Market today. I blame it on the hubby watching Deadliest Catch on Discovery Channel. A few weeks ago, one of my friends mentioned that she was craving crabs as well so I think that pushed me to try them out. I've never bought them in a grocery store before but now I'm glad I did. Can't wait to dip them in some buttery goodness tomorrow!
A friend and I were talking about Jollibee (my absolute favorite place) and I checked their store locators and I just found out that they're opening one in Sacramento!!! You have no idea how happy this makes me feel. I've been praying and praying for them to open one here and it's finally gonna happen on Fall 2007. I can't wait to taste that crispy chicken joy and gravy.
I just made some fudge. Can't believe they're so easy to make! Why didn't I make them before? Now I just have to wait a couple hours before I can dive into the delicious goodness of chocolate.
So there's only 1 krispy kreme in the Sacramento region. There used to be one down the street from us but it closed down last October . I don't normally crave donuts but since we were in the area last weekend, we decided to buy a dozen. You know how when it's not there, you want to eat it but when it's there you don't want to eat it? The hubby ate most of the donuts because I feel guilty eating more than 1 donut in one sitting. I thought I'd try to eat some of the custard-filled donuts but I just don't like it. Give me glazed/chocolate glazed any day. Well, I'm glad we finally finished the dozen though.
Okay is there something going on? As far as I know, there are no recalls for edamame. I went to Costco and got a big bag of edamame but it's been about a month now and still they have no stock of it. We went to the grocery store last night and I was hoping to get some but again, there wasn't any. What the heck?!? I want my edamame!!!!
