I shouldn't have waited too long after daydreamy mentioned the cosmetic settlement. I went there last night and they said that they stopped giving them away. Aaargh. Oh well, I still have my Coach 30% off thing from their settlement so I'll just use that sometime in the next few months. I wish that I didn't have practice Tuesday and Wednesday night. Otherwise I would've gone to the mall instead. *sigh*
Because of the Jardine crib recall, everyone and their [paranoid] mama went out to buy cribs right away. Wouldn't you wait for the kit to arrive to make sure? I know that safety of your child is of utmost importance but really before all this came out, you were still using your crib right? Anyway, the hubby just called and he said he got out early (lucky bastard) so he checked out BRU for the cribs. Well there weren't a lot of cribs left. The only ones left were the expensive ones. If this trend continues, we'll have to order it and wait until they arrive. I'm really glad we have a pack 'n play. I know that this will settle down in the next few weeks and we're not gonna do anything about it until we get the kit at least. We also have several options about what to do for Connor's sleeping situation. I'm really hoping they open up the online ordering option cause it only makes sense. If you're ordering from BRU online, what difference does it make?
Oh well, I'm not in a hurry but I am secretly excited that we're getting a new crib. However, I do like the crib he has now though.
So I called Jardine and they said that they'll send me a kit and then we'll get a voucher for the amount of the crib we got. It'll take 1-2 weeks for the kit to come in. I just read their instructions and we really have to get a new one because we need to send them the bolts and the mattress support plates. I saw a lot of nice lifetime cribs online at BRU but they say you can't purchase it online. Too bad cause I saw a lot of nice ones for the same price or even less than our current crib. Man, I'm glad there's a close BRU by us. Otherwise, it'd be a pain.
If I don't find a crib I like for now, we'll go with the pack 'n play. At least he won't be banging his head on that and it's really deep.
If you're one of the "lucky" ones who purchased a Jardine crib from 2002 to 2008, your crib may have been part of that recall. Ours was. Thank goodness that it's still okay, no slats broke or anything but I do remember Connor's foot getting stuck between one of the end slats. For more info, go here.
Does anybody have the iSkin, more specifically, the tokidoki one? I really wanna get one but I wanna see people's opinions about it. I'm asking cause it's not that cheap. My sister has one so I've seen it first hand but since she's a tokidoki fan, she might be a little biased. hahaha... I do have an ipod case but I really like the way the iSkin hugs the ipod. I had to give up my old ipod case to the hubby (it was his originally anyway) but the one he exchanged it with is not as taut and skinny as my old case. I like it though but I wanna justify buying it first.
We went to the Apple Store today after going grocery because the hubby is having some major problems with his ipod. He actually contacted Apple and they were gonna do the whole shipment thing so they can examine it. What was weird was that when he checked his tracking number, some other person signed for it! We even asked the condo office to see if anybody with that name lived in our community but they didn't find it. Anyway, we just went to the Apple store to see if someone in the genius bar can help out. Well, what do you know? He ended up getting a brand new one! He bought his iPod refurbished so maybe that's why it was giving him problems. So now everything's solved!
While he was waiting I wanted to check out The Body Shop. I think I've only been once or twice to this store. I don't know why I never went in there. I assumed that they were expensive but actually they're not. I didn't know that their flagship store was in London either. I went in and got me two of these in Starry Silver and Mink. I also got me a blemish stick. For some reason, I've been breaking out. I only get one or two at the most but still, I haven't broken out this often for awhile. I was thinking of originally going to L'Occitane to get their lavender vinegar but I decided to try out the Body Shop and I'm glad I did. Hopefully it'll do the trick.
On our way back we were planning to stop by Costco but they were already closing. I thought they closed later than 6 pm on Saturday? Oh well...Tomorrow we get free food!! Yipppee!!! I swear we're such pigs. We bought so much baked goods at the Filipino bakery in South Sac. You'd think we're feeding 5 people. hahaha...
