As I was driving to work, it poured very hard in one of the towns I go through. Geez Louise. I haven't seen downpour that bad for a long time. Lately, I have been experiencing some [relatively] bad allergy symptoms: my eyes have been itching like crazy, coughing like there's no tomorrow and I'm sneezing all the time. What gives? I'll just chalk it up to pregnancy + allergies I guess. I never had it this bad before. Hopefully the rain will wash down all the allergens and pollen so it'll alleviate my symptoms a little bit.
At least it's hump day. Why do I feel so tired?
Yay!! I am luvin' this nice weather. We just got back from biking around the neighborhood. You can always tell when the weather's nice because everyone's out and about and that's a good thing. Yesterday I planted some begonias and fiesta impatiens in our front yard. I'm hoping they'll do well. It was looking blah there for awhile but I'm glad my cyclamens survived our cold winter. I'm also glad that DST is now in effect. Sure we lose an hour but nothing beats waking up to sunshine and coming home during daylight. Having this sunny weather sure affects my mood in tremendous ways.
By the way, you would NOT believe what happened to me at Old Navy today. I was wearing one of my sandals when all of a sudden, I thought I stepped on some gum cause I felt like my right sandal got stuck. Next thing you know the sole and insole broke apart!! Aaargh!! It's a good thing we were at Old Navy and that they have cheap slippers. I was pretty much forced to buy one. I was "limping" throughout the store just so my sandal won't fall apart. The hubby told me to just wear the slipper and tell them I'm buying it but I just sat down, gave him my money and told him to pay for the merchandise. I had to throw my sandals in the trash outside. Oh well, I guess it was about time I got rid of those anyway. I've had those since 2000 I think.
Sacramento Region is on freeze watch today. It's gonna go down to the mid-20s and possibly the teens. I covered some of my plants last night just in case. I'm just glad that it's not gonna rain after all although that might not be that great when we go snowboarding on Saturday. Oh well, at least it won't rain/snow in the mountains. I'm worried about the cold though so I think I'm gonna stop by Big 5 later to buy a ski mask. It's been a year since I snowboarded and I know it's gonna be like starting over again but oh well, I asked the hubby to stay with me AT ALL TIMES! hehehe.. Should be fun.
Tomorrow... I go home early and I get to see Mr. Timberlake. Yippee!!!
We had some weird weather yesterday. We were expecting rain but it didn't rain much but in the afternoon, I was told there was a cloudburst. Then in the afternoon, I heard rumbling in the office. I don't usually hear it that loud unless it was pouring REALLY hard. A couple of us went outside and the clouds looked really ugly, the wind was whipping through our hair and it was cold. Later on I was told that it rained hard again but after that the sun came out on one side but on the east side the clouds were still dark and heavy. Last night, it was super windy when I checked outside.
Today though it seems like we have nice weather, sunny at least, but according to the weather report the wind chill factor makes it colder than it really is.
I really wish I was in SoCal right now. Have a great weekend everyone!
Most of NorCal are on freeze warning until 9 AM. Temperatures dropped to about low 20s overnight. Yes it does get cold in California for those who don't believe me. Had a bit of an unsettling night last night but nothing that shall be mentioned or explained here. :p Anyway, although I don't like the cold I'd rather have it that way at least around Christmas time anyway. I know that people below the equator experience the opposite of what we have here but I just can't imagine spending Christmas in the US in 75-80 degree weather. hahaha... Man, I can't wait to shred some snow next year. I think I need a new snowboard or new boots.
Oh yeah I saw a rainbow too. This was right before it started raining hard. See how the clouds look so dark and heavy. I called up my mom and she said it's warm over there. Grrrr...
I just can't believe we're in the middle of November. Ever since we got back from vacation (a month ago--yes a month!) I still feel like it's October. Despite me wearing sweaters, gloves and scarves, I still think to myself that Mother Nature is having hiccups and that we'll be back to beautiful (warmer) weather. *sigh* Hubby and I went biking yesterday afternoon in the cold. It was only about 4:30 p.m. but it felt like it was 6. I wanted to go biking before it totally goes cold and rainy. I also miss playing tennis but what can I do? It's been really cold in the morning. Brrrr.. I want my sunshine back!!!
We're having a bit of a 'winter-ish' weather. It's a bit foggy, rainy and cold. I'm really not ready for this type of weather yet and no I'm not putting out my sweaters yet. Although, I probably need to put out some of them to get ready for my trip. Anyway, I was looking at the weather for this weekend and next week. We're supposed to go back up to real fall temperatures (in our area anyway), mainly 70s and 80s. Now THAT'S more like it.
I'm expecting a few things in the mail. I got a notice yesterday from the US Postal Service about a certified mail from somewhere and it made me a bit anxious and nervous. I hope it's nothing bad..or it could be something TOTALLY good! We'll see. Can you believe the weekend is almost here? I hope I get my "wish" tomorrow.
